The local futures trading market
registered significant growth
last year, especially in the area
of options trading. Yuanta Core
Pacific Futures was able to grow
with the market due to the following
innovations and promotional events:

A series of
events to promote various futures
and options vehicles using our
diverse distribution channels.

More than 350
island-wide investment lectures
were held over the course of
the year,

Yuanta established
an options trading website and
electronic trading platform
to provide an easier trading
interface.

Yuanta improved
service for both domestic and
foreign institutional investors
through the provision of detailed
lectures and tutorials on hedging
and arbitrage.

With the aim
of business expansion, YCPF
has established a futures consulting
arm to educate investors on
futures market analysis and
investment strategies.

In response
to the relaxation of the ban
on discretionary futures business,
YCPF established the Managed
futures and Futures Advisory
Enterprise Dept in early 2004.
Looking forward,
not only will YCPF strive to maintain
its current reputation for professionalism
and innovation, but it will implement
internal auditing to aid and develop
its management competency. In the
coming year, YCPF will also host
a series of strategic marketing
events to educate investors on the
implications of the possible tax-cut
on futures trading.
