Who can be your local agent?
A local agent is required for Foreign Investors to act on behalf:
(1) in obtaining an investor ID
(2) in sending margin withdrawal/FX instructions
(3) in tax reporting
Trade TAIFEX Derivatives Only
Yuanta Futures can act as your local agent if you will trade TAIFEX derivatives only.
Trade TAIFEX Derivatives and TWSE Securities
Yuanta Futures can not act as your local representative if you will also trade equities in TWSE or other cash equities. A custodian or securities broker that can act as a custody role will be required.
